How to collect waste from glass containers
Container glass must get to containers as soon as possible that are designed for collecting container glass: coloured glass and colourless glass collected separately. The collected glass is transported to the glassworks. Here the glass is sorted from the unwanted foreign impurities and crushed into smaller fragments, cleaned and entered into production as high quality secondary raw material. The quality of the collected fragments is very important as this plays an enormous role in production. Any contamination or use of inappropriate glass or other waste complicates and makes the recycling process more expensive.
It is important to:
- place glass in separate vessels or containers
- separate colourless and coloured glass
What does not belong here:
- plastics, porcelain and ceramics, communal waste, glass with a wire liner, television screens, fluorescent neon tubes, construction material and so on.
