Glass is a high quality and ecological container that is
- perfectly hygienic
- of neutral taste
- of different colour
- of diverse shape
- made of natural raw materials
- ecologically important
- 100% recyclable

We cannot imagine our daily life without glass. Glass containers of various shape and colour tones are widely used not only in the food industry, but also in the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industry.

Glass comes from nature. It is produced from raw materials found in nature in great quantities, such as sand, limestone, dolomite, feldspar and soda. Up to 100% of glass fragments may be used in glass production depending on the colour.

Glass is100% recyclable
Glass is a material that can be recycled constantly. Glass also maintains certain of its physical, chemical and hygienic properties during the recycling process as though it were produced from its natural resources - sand, limestone and soda.

  • Glass is a product of nature. Its most important raw materials are siliceous sand, limestone and soda. However Vetropack Nemšová uses a large share of collected container glass for its production.
  • Old glass and new raw materials are melted together at a temperature of about 1580 degrees Celsius.
  • Hot drops of molten glass are precisely fed and cut through feeder channels from the smoothly flowing molten glass from melting furnace. The glass container acquires its final shape through blowing with the aid of compressed air into the final form.
  • The moulded hot product slowly cools in the cooling furnace thereby reducing stress in the glass. The subsequent treatment of the surface increases the solidity of the product and improves its handling.
